Frequently asked

How is the ideal desk height calculated?

From your standing height using established ergonomic ratios: seat height ≈ 26% of your height, a seated desk/keyboard height ≈ 40%, and a standing-desk height ≈ 63% (roughly your standing elbow height). Treat the numbers as a strong starting point, then fine-tune 2–3 cm to what feels level and relaxed.

Where should my monitor be?

The top of the screen at or just below eye level, about an arm's length away (50–70 cm). If your laptop sits too low, raise it on a stand and add an external keyboard, or use a monitor arm for fine control.

What if I can't change my desk height?

Adjust your chair to the correct seated desk height, then use a footrest so your feet stay flat and a riser to bring the screen to eye level. A sit-stand converter adds standing without replacing the desk.

Is one perfect posture the goal?

No — the best posture is your next one. Set a good baseline with these numbers, then move and switch between sitting and standing through the day.
